Polk County Transportation Improvement Projects Update
Austin, TX) - State Representative James White understands the importance of transportation projects throughout House District 19. Many of these roads are the only paths that emergency services can use and that constituents take to and from work.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is currently working on projects consisting of replacement of bridges and approaches in Polk county. One is located on Wells Landing Road at Kickapoo Creeek, Revia Road at Draw Creek, Darden Road at Caney Creek, and Duff Road at Menard Creek and will cost about $1,452,873.79. The other is located on Rock Island Road at Bundix Creek, Horrace Bonds Road at the tributary of Long King Creek and Forest Hills Loop at Caney Creek with an estimated cost of $1,091,491.65.
“I thank Southeast Texans for their continued support of our transportation system. Without these repairs, our economic prosperity would not continue to flourish. I thank the staff at TxDOT for prioritizing these projects that help my constituents get to and from work,” said Rep. White.
Please do not hesitate to contact either Saul Mendoza, Chief of Staff, or Shawn Dunn, District Director, with questions regarding these projects at 512-463-0490 or 409-283-3700.
