State Rep. Justin Holland Committee Appointments for the 85th Legislature
AUSTIN, TX - Today, State Representative Justin Holland (Rockwall) was appointed to serve on the Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety and the Committee on Investments & Financial Services for the 85th Legislature.
The Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety oversees the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Rangers, border security, crime labs, and certain Second Amendment issues.
"I'm honored and grateful to be appointed to two important committees this session. I have a great relationship with law enforcement officials throughout the state and I'm looking forward to working with them on critical issues to ensure our border is secure and our communities are safe," Rep. Holland said.
The Committee on Investments & Financial Services oversees banking in Texas, identity theft, the state's investment climate and the tools to continue creating new jobs in Texas.
"Texas is the best state in the nation to do business and a lot of that is determined on whether or not we have the proper investing environment." Rep. Holland said. "I'm looking forward to serving on this committee with Chairman Tan Parker who also chairs the House Caucus."
The bill referral process is set to begin early next week.
