TxDOT to Start Transportation Improvement Projects in Tyler and Jasper Counties
Austin, TX - The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will begin transportation improvement projects in both Tyler and Jasper counties. Both of these projects are scheduled to start early September.
In Tyler County, TxDOT will begin a project that will increase the safety as well as widen FM 256 from US 190 north for two miles. The project has been awarded to Pinto Construction Co., Inc. who will manage the construction along this route. The estimated cost of this project is $727,007.
Jasper County will see construction on US 96 from 0.807 miles north of RE 255 north to the Sabine County line. The project will be for the construction of an overlay project and will consist of miling and inlaying the roadway. The construction contractor for this project is APAC-Texas, Inc. and its estimated cost is $3,988,330.
