State Representative James White Named to Select Committee on Transportation Planning
Austin, TX - State Representative James was appointed by House Speaker Joe Straus to serve on the House Select Committee on Transportation Planning. The purpose of the interim committee will be to review and evaluate transportation revenue projections, funding categories, and project selection criteria, rules, and policies for project prioritization and selection, methods of financing, and performance evaluation metrics and measurement tools.
As concerns about transportation rise in Southeast Texas, Rep. White looks forward to serving on this committee to look into the challenges facing transportation across the state. "I am humbled for the opportunity to serve the citizens of Texas by my appointment on this important committee. Southeast Texans understand that having good bridges and roads are tied to their ability to build wealth, grow their local prosperity, and ensure for their families and employees," said Rep. White.
