REYNOLDS PASSES HB 2599 TO UTILIZE LOCAL SALES TAX REVENUE TO BUILD OR IMPROVE ROADS IN FORT BEND COUNTY
AUSTIN (May 8, 2015)- Representative Reynolds recently passed House Bill 2599, which will allow a County Assistance District to build or improve county and state roads within city limits with local sales tax revenue.
“This bill will provide more flexibility for our county and be another tool to help meet our rapidly growing transportation needs”, said Representative Reynolds. “I was pleased to work with our Fort Bend County Commissioner’s to help address our local infrastructure issues so that we can build, improve and maintain our roads in our community”, Reynolds commented. This legislation will benefit the county, municipalities, and most importantly our citizens.
Representative Reynolds is currently serving his third term in the Texas House of Representatives. He is a member of the House Committee on Environmental Regulations and the House Elections Committee.
