Representative Four Price Statement on House Bill 2510

Austin, TX --- “The passage of CSHB 2510 is vital to focusing the Department of State Health Services on its core function of protecting the public health of Texans, improving the coordinated delivery of essential local mental health services and drug abuse treatment, as well as transferring the regulation of certain occupational licenses to other state agencies better equipped at licensure oversight. I am staunchly committed to passing this essential legislation. It is important to note that this legislation was passed out of the House Committee on Human Services by a bipartisan vote of 7 to 0. I thank the numerous stakeholders who have worked with my office and Sunset staff for the past year and a half in perfecting the bill that I brought to the House floor.”
