Cesar Blanco Congratulates El Paso Hispanic Chamber for their Work on City's Selection to Host National Women's Business Center Conference
El Paso, TX: Representative Cesar Blanco (HD-76) today joined the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as they announced the City's selection to host the 2015 National Women's Business Center Conference.
"El Paso's selection over more than 100 cities to host a prestigious national conference is a sign of our city's growing momentum," said Representative César J. Blanco. "Thanks to the work of the El Paso Hispanic Chamber, hundreds of women business leaders from across the country will congregate in our city and bring with them a much needed economic impact. This is an occasion to celebrate, and one of which we should all be proud."
The El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has successfully operated the Women’s Business Border Center, a joint project between the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Women’s Business Ownership for the past 14 years. Together, the missions of the Office of Women’s Business Ownership, the Women’s Business Border Center and the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce meld into one comprehensive mission. Annually, the U.S. Small Business Administration holds its National Women’s Business Center Conference, in Washington D.C. This year, after the Women’s Business Border Center in El Paso submitted a proposal to host the conference in 2015, El Paso was selected over 112 other cities to host the event.
