Representative Toni Rose appointed Vice-Chair of the House Committee on Human Services
Austin-- Representative Toni Rose, Dallas, has been appointed Vice-Chair of the House Committee on Human Services by Texas House Speaker Joe Straus. Human Services is a committee that Representative Rose proudly served on during the 83rd Legislative Session and is the key House committee overseeing the state agencies that provides health and human services programs in Texas.
"I am very excited and honored to have been appointed Vice-Chair of the House Committee on Human Services," said Representative Rose. "I appreciate Speaker Straus' confidence in my leadership and will continue to fight for the betterment of constituents in district 110 as well as all Texans."
In addition, Representative Rose will serve on the newly formed House Committee on Juvenile Justice and Family Issues as well as the Rules and Resolutions Committee.
The House Committee on Juvenile Justice and Family Issues is committed to providing oversight of youth in correctional facilities and for managing the operations and maintenance of each respective facility.
"The children in the state of Texas are our future and as they run into problems, it is our responsibility to assist and rehabilitate them back into society," stated Representative Rose.
Representative Rose will also serve on the House Committee on Rules and Resolutions which oversees all matters concerning rules, procedures, and all operations of the House.
Elected in 2012, Representative Rose represents District 110, which covers parts of Dallas, Balch Springs and Mesquite.
