Rep. Dale awarded 'Freshman of the Year' by the Combined Law Enforcement Association of Texas
Leander, TX - Last week at the monthly Leander Chamber of Commerce Luncheon Charley Wilkison, Executive Director of the Combined Law Enforcement Association of Texas (CLEAT), presented State Representative Tony Dale with the ‘Freshman of the Year’ award for his support of law enforcement during the 83rd Texas Legislature.
“Representative Dale distinguished himself as a freshmen legislator with both an understanding and passion for law enforcement and criminal justice issues,” said Charley Wilkison. “At CLEAT we consider the ‘Freshman of the Year’ award to be one of our highest honors and are proud to present it to a deserving individual who proven himself a champion of the law enforcement community.”
CLEAT represents more than 19,000 law enforcement professionals across the state of Texas and is the state’s largest law enforcement organization
“I thank the membership of Combined Law Enforcement of Texas for bestowing the honor of Freshman of the Year upon me. Everyday police officers across Texas put their lives on the line on behalf of the citizens. Their selfless sacrifice deserves more honors and accolades then I do. I appreciate all that CLEAT members do to enhance public safety in Texas,” said Representative Dale.
Dale was elected to the Texas House in November 2012. He is a small business owner and veteran of the U.S. Army who previously served on the Cedar Park City Council. He represents western Williamson County, including the communities of Cedar Park, Leander and Brushy Creek, as well as parts of north Austin.
