REPRESENTATIVE RON SIMMONS ANNOUNCES STAFF CHANGES
Mark Yarbrough leaving for position with District Clerk, Hayley Orr promoted to District Associate
CARROLLTON – Representative Ron Simmons today announced changes to his leadership team. Mark Yarbrough, who has served as District Director, has accepted a position as the Chief Deputy District Clerk for Denton County. Hayley Orr, long-time District Office intern, will now serve as Representative Simmons' District Associate.
"I wish Mark all the best in his new endeavors serving the people of Denton County. He has been a valuable member of my team since the day I took office," said Representative Simmons.
As the Chief Deputy, Mark will assist the elected District Clerk with all supervisory and administration duties to ensure all functions of the District Clerk's office are carried out sufficiently and in compliance with established laws, policies, and procedures.
"I look forward to continuing to serve the citizens of Denton County in my new role as Chief Deputy District Clerk," said Mark Yarbrough. "It has been a pleasure to serve the citizens of House District 65 as District Director for State Representative Ron Simmons. We are all blessed to have such a dedicated and hardworking State Representative who listens to his constituents and does his best to represent them."
Hayley Orr, who is currently a full-time student at the University of Texas at Dallas, will take over duties at Simmons' District Office in Carrollton on a part-time basis.
"I am pleased to promote Hayley to District Associate," said Simmons. "Hayley has proven to be a dependable and hard-working member of my staff, and I am more than confident in her ability to handle the responsibilities of her new position."
These changes became effective November 20, 2013. Ben Lancaster continues to serve as Representative Simmons' Chief of Staff.
