Rep. Frullo Appointed to Energy Council
Lubbock - Texas State Representative John Frullo was appointed to the Energy Council by Texas House Speaker Joe Straus. Just finishing his second regular legislative session and three special sessions, Rep. Frullo was appointed to the Energy Council which includes representatives from Texas, nine other U.S. states, and Alberta, Canada.
"I am honored Speaker Straus appointed me to this council," Frullo said. "Creating an appropriate energy policy that stewards our valuable energy resources well, is paramount.”
The membership of this council includes more than 5,000 members from various organizations. Texas is among several other energy-producing states. Also on the council are representatives from Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Wyoming as well as the province of Alberta, Canada.
“I am pleased to appoint Representative Frullo to the Energy Council,” Speaker Straus said. “He will provide a valuable West Texas perspective on critical energy issues in the state.”
"Among many other issues, energy is one of the most important affecting Texas in the future and being selected to be a part of the development of an energy policy that best meets the needs of Texas and the rest of the nation is exciting. I look forward to working with the other representatives on the council," said Frullo.
