Reynolds Prepared To Lead With Key Committee Assignments
AUSTIN, Texas (January 31, 2013) — House committee assignments were announced today by Speaker Joe Straus. Rep. Ron Reynolds (District 27, Fort Bend) was placed on the Environmental Regulation Committee and the Technology Committee.
“I appreciate Speaker Straus providing me with the opportunity to serve on these committee. I am delighted with my committee assignments and looking forward to working with the chair's and other members of the committees to ensure passage of quality legislation to benefit the people of my district and the state,” remarked Rep. Reynolds.
The Environmental Regulation Committee has jurisdiction over the Texas Commission on Environmental Regulation which oversees the environmental matters of our state. The Technology Committee has jurisdiction in matters pertaining to advances in science and technology and matters relating to cooperation of state and local governments with the scientific and technological community.
