DALLAS, TEXAS ─ State Representative Victoria Neave announced today that she is offering a scholarship opportunity for students that reside in House District 107 which encompasses parts of East Dallas, Garland, and Mesquite, Texas via the Texas Armed Services Scholarship Program. The scholarship, administered by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, allows students planning to serve in the military after college to receive up to $4,000 for the 2018-2019 academic year after receiving a nomination from a State Legislator and meeting certain criteria.

"I am honored to offer this $4,000 scholarship opportunity to students from House District 107 and hope to help a student from our community who has a desire to serve our country in the U.S. Armed Services achieve his or her dreams,” says State Representative Victoria Neave. “We have bright, phenomenal students in our community who will undoubtedly make a positive impact on our society, and we look forward to reviewing scholarship applications.”

Students in House District 107 with strong academic achievement, solid leadership experience, a commitment to community service, and who meet the THECB’s requirements are encouraged to apply.
