AUSTIN, TX - Today, two bills authored by State Rep. Mary E. González were passed out of the Texas House of Representatives.

These bills, House Bill 75 and House Bill 77, are two pieces of priority legislation for the Representative:

-House Bill 75 would extend the agricultural registration exemptions to include vehicles and equipment owned by farmer’s cooperatives that are lent or leased to members.

-House Bill 77 will direct the Health and Human Services Commission to evaluate the potential for replicating the Dallas Men Against Abuse program through local communities and school districts in order to reduce incidents of domestic violence.

"These two bills have been a priority since day one for our office, and together they address two issues that affect both the local communities in my district and the state of Texas as a whole." Rep. González said. "House Bill 75 is extremely important to the needs of the agriculture community in my district, and House Bill 77 can help reduce instances of domestic violence in Texas by studying an already successful program."
