Austin, TX--Representative Toni Rose has passed her first bill as a member of the Texas House of Representatives. Representative Rose, a freshman Legislator from Dallas County, authored House Bill 802 (HB 802) in an effort to assist Texas counties with emergency management. This bill was voted on Wednesday morning and received strong bi-partisan support, receiving 147 Yeas.
HB 802 will increase the ability of county emergency management vehicles to rapidly respond to emergency situations within the county. This bill will allow Texas residents to receive the emergency care they deserve in a timely manner--which could be a matter of life or death.
With her extensive background in health care, this bill was especially important to Representative Rose. "It is imperative that all citizens of Texas be allowed access to emergency aid when needed and today we made steps to ensure this will be done."
Representative Rose represents District 110, which includes Dallas, Balch Springs and Mesquite.
