Representative Laubenberg is honored to serve in the Texas House of Representatives. She is currently the Chair of the House Committee on Elections and a member of the House Committee on Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence. She has previously served on Public Health, Financial Services, Natural Resources and Local Ways and Means, gaining an extensive understanding of policy that affects our state.

Rep. Laubenberg has authored and passed numerous bills that have helped the state and her district. She has cultivated and maintained a good working relationship with her district's civic leaders to meet the needs of Texas citizens. Most notably, during the 83rd Special Session, Jodie authored landmark pro-life legislation, HB2, "The Woman’s Health and Preborn Pain Act".

For her work during the 84th Session, Jodie has been recognized as a Courageous Conservative by the Texas Conservative Coalition. In addition, she is a 2015 inaugural inductee into the Dallas Morning News Watchdog Hall of Fame.

Jodie is a sixth generation Texan, having family who settled in Texas in 1861. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Rep. Laubenberg worked in the computer industry until choosing to become a stay-at-home mom, thus devoting her time to family and community service. Jodie and her husband, Bob, live in Parker.
